Electrolyzed Water Generating Technology
Electrolyzed water is the generic term for the solution produced by electrolysis using direct current electricity by mixing tap water with low-concentration sodium chloride. It can be divided into strong acid electrolyzed water, weak acid electrolyzed water, slightly acid electrolyzed water, sodium hypochlorite, strong alkali electrolyzed water. Our manufacturing technology of electrolyzed water is currently targeting slightly acid electrolyzed water, and the type of electrolyzed water can be different depending on the type of additives for manufacturing electrolyzed water.
Type of Electrolyzed Water
Electrolyzed water | PH | Effective Chlorine (ppm) | Approval Status |
---|---|---|---|
Strong acid electrolyzed water | 2.2 ~ 2.7 | 20 ~ 60 | · Medical devices (hand sanitizer for surgery, endoscopy disinfection)
· Food additives (sterilization) · Specific control materials |
Weak acid electrolyzed water | 2.7 ~ 5.0 | 10 ~ 60 | · Food additives (sterilization) |
Slightly acid electrolyzed water | 5.0 ~ 6.5 | 10 ~ 80 | · Food additives (sterilization)
· Specific control materials |
Sodium Hypochiorite | >7.5 | 50 ~ 200 | · Food additives (sterilization) |
Strong Alkali electrolyzed water | 11.0 ~ 11.5 | · Equivalence with love concentration sodium hydroxide |
Technology Specialties and Benefits
Type of Electrolyzed Water
Electrically disassembling tap water containing chloride ion (CI-) into the electrolyte produces electrolyzed water containing the main active ingredient, hypochloric acid (HOCI) or sodium hypochloric acid (OCI-). Electrolyzed water containing high-concentration effective chlorine may be manufactured by adding a dedicated additive as necessary. (Improves sterilizing power when handling highly contaminated areas)
